Publication ethics of Renai: Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities, generally refers to COPE.


This statement of scientific code of ethics is a statement of the code of ethics of all parties involved in the publication process of this scientific journal, namely managers, editors, peer reviewers, and authors/writers. This statement of the code of ethics of scientific publication is based on the Regulation of the Head of LIPI Number 5 of 2014 concerning the Code of Ethics of Scientific Publication, which in essence this Code of Ethics of Scientific Publication upholds three ethical values ​​in publication, namely: Neutrality, namely free from conflicts of interest in managing publications; Justice, namely granting authorship rights to those entitled as authors/writers; and Honesty, namely free from duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism (DF2P) in publication.

Duties and Responsibilities of Journal Managers : Determine the name of the journal, scope of science, periodicity, and accreditation if necessary, Determine the membership of the editorial board,Defining the relationship between publishers, editors, peer reviewers, and other parties in a contract, Respecting confidential matters, both for contributing researchers, authors/writers, editors, and peer reviewers, Applying norms and provisions regarding intellectual property rights, especially copyright, Reviewing journal policies and conveying them to authors/writers, editorial boards, peer reviewers, and readers, Creating a code of conduct guide for editors and peer reviewers, Publishing journals regularly,Ensuring the availability of funding sources for the sustainability of journal publication, Building a network of cooperation and marketing, Preparing permits and other legal aspects.

Duties and Responsibilities of Editors : Meeting the needs of readers and authors/writers, Efforts to continuously improve the quality of publications, Implementing processes to ensure the quality of published written works, Prioritizing freedom of opinion objectively, Maintaining the integrity of the author's academic track record, Submitting corrections, clarifications, withdrawals, and apologies when necessary, Being responsible for the style and format of written works, while the content and all statements in the written work are the responsibility of the author/writer, Actively soliciting the opinions of authors, readers, peer reviewers, and editorial board members to improve the quality of publications, Encouraging journal assessments if there are findings, Supporting initiatives to educate researchers about publication ethics, Reviewing the effects of publication policies on the attitudes of authors/writers and peer reviewers and improving them to increase responsibility and minimize errors, Having an open mind to new opinions or views of others that may conflict with personal opinions, Not defending one's own opinion, the author or a third party that may result in non-objective decisions, Encouraging authors/writers to be able to improve written works until worthy of publication.

Duties and Responsibilities of Reviewers : Receive assignments from the editor to review written works and submit the results of the review to the editor, as material for determining the suitability of a written work for publication, Reviewers may not conduct reviews of written works that involve themselves, either directly or indirectly, Maintain the privacy of the author by not disseminating the results of corrections, suggestions, and recommendations by providing criticism, suggestions, input, and recommendations, Encourage authors/writers to improve written works, Review written works that have been corrected according to predetermined standards, Written works are reviewed in a timely manner according to the style of the publication environment based on scientific principles (data collection methods, author legality, conclusions, etc.),

Duties and Responsibilities of Authors/Writers : Ensure that those included in the list of authors/writers meet the criteria as authors/writers, Collectively responsible for the work and content of the article including methods, analysis, calculations, and details, State the source of resources (including funding), both directly and indirectly, Explaining limitations in the research, Responding to comments made by peer reviewers in a professional and timely manner, Informing the editor if the paper will be withdrawn, Making a statement that the paper submitted for publication is original, has not been published anywhere in any language, and is not in the process of being submitted to another publisher.
